Tenacious Rescuers Save Three Cats From Drowning In LA Death-Trap River

In Los Angeles a team of rescuers from a Redondo Beach rescue organisation named PACT (People and Cats Together) rescued three cats trapped in a half-mile long 50 foot wide stretch of a concrete river channel. The 48 mile channel is a death trap for any cat or other creature going into it as the 20 foot deep sides are too steep to allow them to crawl out. When the water rises after rain, death is inevitable.

The rescue involved persistence for two whole weeks in order to save the cats by trapping them in cages lowered into the channel which is shown in the video. We congratulate the rescuers in their determination to save these lives.
